Create an image and add it to the second IE

Short exercise for creating a picture and adding it to an IE.

  1. Select the Users structure and your folder in the Navigate panel. Right click and select "New IE" and then "New Graphic"

    • Information type: select "10 - User Information"

    • Sub Information type: select "10:02 - User Manual"

    • Template: select "80 x 80 mm"

    • Title: input "My first Picture (Your Initial)"

    Leave the rest fields empty and click OK

  3. Leave the editing of your picture for an illustrator to finish at a later date. This is not needed now, we can still use the picture. Normally you would create an image order now, but that will come later in the training.

  4. Select your picture in the IE list and press Ctrl+C on the keyboard. You will now have a copy of it's address in the clip-board.

  5. Check out your topic named "My second Topic" and move the cursor to the bottom of the text.

  6. Right-click and select first "Insert" and then "Figure" in the second menu. Click "add graphic".

  7. Position your cursor right inbetween the "file" tags and press Ctrl+V on the keyboard. The address you previosly copied from your picture should be inserted.

  8. Exit the editor and check in your topic. Watch the html preview. Your picture should show there you added it.
